SUPPORT OF MILITARY SERVICE PERSONNEL
Bethlehem, Pa., – (October 1, 2009) –Kistler O’Brien Fire Protection was recently recognized with the Seven Seals Award by the Pennsylvania Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve for their commitment and support of their employees who serve in America’s military.
During a luncheon at the historic US Army War College in Carlisle, PA., last week, Kistler O’Brien was honored for their “meritorious leadership and initiative in support of men and women who serve America in the National Guard and Reserve” and their commitment to employees who serve in the military during times of war and natural disaster. The award was presented by Major General Robert M. Williams, Commandant of the USAWC.
“We make it a priority to support our employees in all facets of their lives and when an employee takes on the added responsibility of protecting our country during such a critical time in our history, every one of us at Kistler stands proud to support and thank them,” said Eric F. Blasser, president of Kistler O’Brien Fire Protection. “This award recognizes our support of these fine individuals whom we are proud to call Kistler O’Brien employees, but more importantly, it gives us a chance to again thank these folks for their service and commitment to us as coworkers and as Americans.”
Several Kistler O’Brien employees are currently active and deployed in Iraq or Afghanistan. On hand to accept the award on behalf of the company was Kistler O’Brien salesperson Alex Sierra of Bethlehem, Pa.
The Pennsylvania Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve is part of the National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve whose mission is promote cooperation and understanding between reservists and their civilian employers and to assist in the resolution of conflicts arising from an employee's military commitment by providing employer awareness and recognition programs, human resources consultation, and Ombudsman (informal mediation) services to resolve employment issues with Guard and Reservist employees. |
