Bethlehem, Pa., – (January 13, 2010) –Kistler O’Brien Fire Protection has promoted three individuals in their sales and service divisions.
    Scott Guzzo of Hamburg, N.J., was named sales manager; Brian Kehler of Upper Nazareth Township, Pa., was named sprinkler service manager and Michael Lowery of Mohrsville, Pa., was named service manager of standard products for Kistler O’Brien’s Philadelphia region.

 


    Guzzo began his career at Kistler O’Brien in alarm sales in the engineered systems department in 2007. As sales manager, he is responsible for the sales team’s relationship development as well as new business acquisition.  Prior to joining Kistler O’Brien, Guzzo served as a senior estimator and purchaser with Brittasham Enterprises, Inc., in Franklin, N.J., and earlier in his career, Guzzo worked in sales at both SimplexGrinnell Inc., and Siemens Building Technologies, Inc., in New Jersey. Guzzo earned his bachelor’s degree from  John Jay College of Criminal Justice.


   

Kehler has been an employee with Kistler O’Brien for more than 20 years having started as a portable extinguisher technician. During his time with Kistler, Kehler has grown the small sprinkler division from a two-person unit to a large operational unit within Kistler O’Brien of more than 14 technicians. As sprinkler service manager, he will oversee operations of the department and manage the technicians and schedulers on customer service issues and field surveying operations for new business.  He is NICET Level 2 certified in water-based fire protection inspection and maintenance and NICET Level 1 certified in water-based fire protection layout. He has served as fire chief in his hometown and regularly attends fire protection and fire service training.


   

Lowery has been with Kistler O’Brian for nearly 5 years and has served as standard products technician in the Reading, Pa., area. In his new position, he will manage service operations and personnel for the Philadelphia marketplace. Prior to joining Kistler O’Brien, Lowery was lead repair technician for The Laser Link in Boyertown, Pa., and managed shipping and receiving at the “7” Corp., a lumber mill in Winlock, Wash. He is a certified electronics repair technician and has completed training as a fire scene leader, and in chemical, radiological and biological warfare detection and decontamination, aviation crash and rescue and confined space entry. He served in the United States Navy as a damage control petty officer.
