Fire Extinguisher Training using the Fire Simulator

The Fire Simulator provides realistic in-depth training in fire extinguisher operation and application techniques using various flammable liquid fire scenarios. The simulator can be used for first-time fire training or as a refresher for individuals who have already completed live fire training.

The simulator is a computer-driven system operated by Kistler Obrien's trained staff to simulate fire. Computer controlled speakers duplicate the actual noise of the fire even as it reacts to the student attemping to extinguish the flames. Compressed air is also discharged though the extinguisher nozzle to further add realism to the training.

Kistler O'Brien Fire Protection provides the simulator and all props. You provide the students for the training. The system has many positive features:

Zero environmental impact. No smoke, fuel, or extinguishing agent emissions.

Versatile. Uses cartridge-operated and stored pressure extinguishers. Includes five common fire scenarios

Weather-proof. The Fire Simulator operates indoors. Training can be scheduled and conducted regardless of weather conditions.

Safe. Without the presence of actual flame, heat, and smoke, the potential for accidents and subsequent liability is minimized.

Proven. Controlled evaluations at the Ansul Fire School have shown significant increases in the capabilities of students who have received simulator training prior to live fire training.

Meets OSHA requirement. Satisfied OSHA annual training requirements for interior incipient fire training.
